Message in a Bottle (MIAB)
Thorne Rural Lions are involved in the Message in a bottle project.
Within Thorne we provide the containers for use by the local Message in a Bottle Scheme. The Message in a Bottle project provides the emergency services with a known location for essential information in the event of an accident or sudden illness of people living on their own.
It consists of a form for the essential information. This information is then stored in a specially provided container in the individuals fridge. A sticker is also provided to be placed in a visible location near the main door.
The Bottle scheme is provided free of charge and they can usually be found in your local Chemist or Doctors Surgeries around Doncaster.
