New Website Launch!

May 2009 sees the launch of our website.

The website offers the latest news, events and general information about the lions organisation.

Lions thank everyone for their support

ON behalf of Thorne Rural Lions, part of Lions Clubs International, I thank all who have supported us with our Christmas collections and fund-raising events throughout the year.

It's thanks to you all for the money we raise which goes to so many good causes and people benefit throughout our communities.

We started our Christmas collection on December 2 and ended on December 23 when Santa was on his sleigh in Doncaster, Kirk Sandall, Edenthorpe, Stainforth, Barnby Dun, Dunscroft, Dunsville, Hatfield, Hatfield Woodhouse, Blaxton, Finningley, Hayfield, Auckley, Branton, Fishlake, Sykehouse, Moorends and Thorne.

As well as our Christmas collection, we have carried out various fundraising at galas and events throughout the year and all donations and monies collected went to good causes and benefited all.

So once again, on behalf of Thorne Rural Lions and Lions Clubs International, may I wish you all the best for 2009 and hope you continue to support the Lions.
